Cusco was the main political and administrative center of the Tahuantinsuyo. From this city, routes extended toward the four suyus: Chinchaysuyu, Antisuyu, Collasuyu, and Contisuyu.
This organization made it possible to integrate territories with different landscapes, resources, and traditions. In this way, the Qhapaq Ñan not only facilitated transportation and imperial administration but also encouraged cultural exchange among the diverse Andean populations.
