Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy

We know that sometimes plans change. That is why we clearly explain our cancellation policy, so you can make informed decisions with confidence.

Important:

  • For tours of 5 days or more, a non-refundable deposit of $300 per person is required. This deposit is used to secure permits, tickets, hotels, and other services that are non-modifiable and non-refundable.
  • For tours of less than 5 days, a non-refundable deposit of $600 per person or 30% of the total tour value is required.

Packages with hotel accommodation:

The deposit amounts may vary depending on the hotel category (3, 4, or 5 stars), as these usually require non-refundable advance payments.

If you need to cancel your trip:

Tours of 8 days or more:

  • Cancellation 60 days or more in advance: non-refundable deposit.

Flexibility for customer changes

We know that plans can vary. Therefore, we offer:

  • More than 90 days before the tour start date:

    You are entitled to a refund of additional payments made, excluding the initial deposit of $600.

  • Within 90 days prior to the start of the tour:

    No refunds will be issued, as hotels, transportation, permits, and other logistical services will already be confirmed and paid.

Tours of less than 8 days:

  • More than 70 days before the tour start date:

    You are entitled to a refund of additional payments made, excluding the initial deposit of $400.

  • Within 90 days prior to the start of the tour:

    No refunds will be issued, as hotels, transportation, permits, and other logistical services will already be confirmed and paid.

Final Tour Payment

Recommended option:

Pay the remaining balance in cash (USD or Peruvian soles) at our Cusco office to avoid the 5.5% processing fee.

Advance online payment:

  • You can pay the remaining balance via PayPal, Visa, or MasterCard (a 5.5% fee applies).
  • All final online payments must be completed 96 hours (4 days) before the start of the tour.
  • Failure to meet this deadline may result in automatic cancellation without refund.

How to request a cancellation

Tours of 8 days or more:

In case of cancellation, Terres des Incas will apply the following deductions on payments made, depending on the number of days in advance the cancellation is requested.

From 60 to 21 days before50% of the total tour cost
Less than 21 days before100% of the total tour price

Tours of less than 8 days:

As a travel agency, we make many non-refundable advance payments to secure your experience. These fees help us cover those costs. If you need an official cancellation letter for your travel insurance, we’ll be happy to provide it upon request.
