Integrated Policy on Quality, Environment, and Management

Normative Mission

Establish the guiding principles that direct every decision of Terres des Incas S.A.C. in order to:

  • Offer superlative travel experiences.
  • Minimize environmental and social footprint.
  • Maximize positive return for communities, collaborators, and travelers.

Operational Scope

Applicable to all processes, products, and tourism services that we design, market, or operate in Peru, Bolivia, and any point within our network of destinations, including the entire value chain (suppliers, partners, destinations, and travelers).

  • GSTC Standards – Global Sustainable Tourism Council

Guiding Principles

  • Operational Excellence
    Products that exceed international standards of quality and safety; goal: ≥ 90% quarterly satisfaction.
  • Environmental Sustainability
    Annual reduction measured and verified:
    • Operational carbon footprint: –3%
    • Single-use plastics: –10%
    • Water and energy consumption in camps: –5%
  • Cultural and Social Respect
    • Prior, free, and informed consent (FPIC) in each community.
    • ≥ 8% of sales value allocated to community projects.
    • Absolute compliance with the Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children and Adolescents in Tourism.
  • Ethics and Regulatory Compliance
    Zero tolerance for child labor, exploitation, or discrimination; strict compliance with all current labor, environmental, and tourism legislation.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Semiannual internal audits and annual external audits.
    • ≥ 20 hours of annual training per collaborator.
    • Review of objectives and goals by Senior Management every six months.

Responsibilities

  • Senior Management: allocate resources, define objectives, and review results.
  • Quality and Sustainability Manager: lead implementation, maintain records.
  • All collaborators: apply procedures and report deviations.

Communication and Dissemination

  • Mandatory induction for new collaborators.
  • Signage in offices, camps, and vehicles.
  • Permanent publication on website and social media.

Review and Update

Mandatory annual review, or earlier in case of relevant regulatory changes. Approval and communication by Senior Management.
